Hope in the LORD.org
Jennifer is available to speak on a variety of topics to both large and small
groups; whether they are Christian, mixed denominations, or seekers. You
can select from the topics below as well as topics found in her newsletter
and articles. She can also create a talk to meet the specific needs of your
group.
Growing What God Planted
(Raising the Children He Created)
God lovingly creates each and every child in His image. So why are they so
hard to raise?! This talk provides much-needed encouragement for moms
struggling through the everyday frustrations and setbacks of parenting and
focuses on celebrating the unique flowers God gave each of us to grow for
Him
Strengthening Marriage: It’s All About Choice!
Everyday we make choices that affect our marriage, either building and
strengthening the marriage, or building and strengthening walls between us
and our husbands. A look at the wall-building choices we might be making
and marriage-building choices we can make instead.
Don’t be Out-Laws with Your In-Laws
As wives, our relationship with our in-laws has a huge impact on our
marriages; either building it up, or tearing it down. This talk is a call to apply
the power of prayer and scripture in our lives and watch the amazing work of
God as he changes someone in this relationship, usually us.
How Not to Have a Headache
Has sex become another chore on your to-do list; something to check off
and get over with? This frank and open discussion of what God intended sex
to be is an encouragement to take sex off the bottom of our list and discover
the blessings God intended for us through intimacy with our husbands. We’ll
look at what God says about sex, what sex means to our husbands, what
might be holding us back, and the importance of intimacy in a healthy
marriage.
Extreme Makeover – Trust Edition
Do you trust God? Most Christians answer “yes.” But do we really trust God?
Do we trust God when we’re overwhelmed by busy lives? When we’re
fighting with our husband? When we’re betrayed? When we lose a loved
one? When we’re lonely? When life doesn’t make sense? When we don’t
trust God, we live a run-down doubt-infested life. An extreme make-over in
trust can lead us to a life of strength and peace.
In Search of Abundance
Is your life ample, abundant, generous and full? Or, do meager, lean,
reduced and minimal better describe it? Just as our bodies won’t get ample
on one meal a week, our life won’t be abundant on one serving of Jesus a
week. Discover the full riches of an abundant life found through a daily walk
with Christ.
House of Mirrors
Ever wonder who that woman in the mirror really is? Jennifer’s journey of
finding the Lord and discovering her identity is an encouragement to others,
particularly those who, as she once did, might be rolling their eyes at ‘Jesus
Freaks’ who want to talk about ‘being saved.’
Spiritual CPR
What God gives us can’t stay with us; it needs to overflow to others! You are
surrounded by dead people and you know the CPR that will save them. Are
you saving lives or are you holding back? Let’s take a course in Spiritual
CPR so we’re ready to save lives when God calls us instead of holding back
in fear.
What Not to Wear
We women need to take an honest look at the invisible wardrobe we wear.
Let's take off the clothes that act as barriers and keep us from true
relationships with our friends, our family, and our Lord. You’ll leave with a
whole new wardrobe!
The Wife God Intended
This talk is a full-on call of encouragement to live as the wife God calls us to
be and follow His values, even as the world shuns them. The talk includes
God’s values in five areas: our work in the home, our relationships with our
husbands and their families, sex, submission, and prayer. It focuses on
what the Bible does and does not say, along with liberal doses of
encouragement and practical applications for day-to-day life.
